Basically the US government is going after injured and no longer able to serve war heroes. They want to recover money that these solders received as a sign up bonus. The reason it bothered me so much is that billions of dollars the government has allowed to go unaccounted from private business operating in Iraq. These company's have pillaged American tax dollars since Saddam's statue was torn down. Rather then holding these traitors responsible for billions of unearned and stolen money they are going after thousands of dollars from solders who have served their country to the point of being disabled. This Bush administration is beyond logic and reason. Time for the Neo-Cons to step aside and time for the average American voice to be heard at the ballot box.
So I'm writing about a documentary I recently watched "Paradise Lost: The Child Murders at Robin Hood Hills". I'm not going to summarize it all that much but you need to watch it and see if you think this could be one of the most incredible miscarriage of justice ever witnessed.
Its a bible belt, redneck town all caught up in a "satanic" murder. What should they do? Hum, charge a group of trouble making teenagers that wear black. The whole thing seems fishy to me... No conclusive evidence is found, the charges just didn't add up. Anyhow this is a must watch and do a little research on the Internet once your done. Wikipedia has a good overview if you'd like to take a look. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/West_Memphis_3
Ok. Its been forever since I've posted anything on my blog so if anyone actually reads this thing here is a quick synopsis to get you up to date.
So what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas? Well only if your embarrassed with what you've done and I don't embarrass easy. I went on vacation with my girlfriend to Vegas this July and had a blast. She is a kindergarten teacher and had a national teachers conference. She asked if I wanted to go with her (isn't she the best!) and I didn't hesitate to accept. We stayed at the Riviera. It is one of the older places on the strip but very nice. I actually came out $100 ahead for the week doing some gambling on the slot machines.
So after my vacation I started looking or a new job and have finally found a good fit. This one fell into my lap, like most good opportunities do. The offer my new company made was very flattering and it was one I could not turn down. I'll be doing basically the same job implementing standard and systematic processes with a bit more of a IT role. My first day will be August 30th and I am extremely excited to start. I'll miss my friends from my old job (I've been working their for 6+ years) and wish them all the best cause they deserve it. The only down side is that I will be traveling to Elliot every day so my drive went from 20 minutes to 50 minutes. I guess its time to get a Sirus satellite radio for some driving companionship
I'm sure there is a ton more of stuff I could write but I'm a bit lazy. I hope I can at least write a weekly post to my blog and see if I can get some new readers to take part in my narcissistic correspondence
